Detailed Itinerary – 9 Days Uganda Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by a professional Umoja Motherland Tours Ltd guide who will transfer you to your hotel.

Overnight at Munyonyo common wealth resort hotel (B&B)

Day 2: Full Day relaxing and boat trip on Lake Victoria.

Early morning breakfast, you will relax and then embark on your boat ride on the Lake Victoria. While on this  trip you explore Lake Victoria.

Day 3: Depart for Kibale Forest National Park

We will depart for Fort Portal and explore the area around the base of the Rwenzori Mountains. At Kibale Forest National Park, you will see over 13 species of primates including chimpanzee, red Colubus monkey, the rare L’Hoest monkey and many others

Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking

Wake up early morning and head to the briefing station for your Chimpanzee Trekking. In Kibale Forest National Park you will track habituated Chimps. These engaging apes are the closed relatives to human beings and are great fun to watch as they play and fight in the fruit trees. Experienced guides will introduce you to the different members of the chimp families, as well as the birds and plant life of the forest.

Day 5: Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Early morning breakfast then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The landscape of northern Queen Elizabeth comprises dozens of ancient craters carved into gentle rolling hills. Queen Elizabeth National Park has over 600 bird species, more than any other National Park in Uganda. You will also be on the lookout for elephants!

Day 6: Water Safari on the Kazinga Channel and Game drive

A popular route you may take for the game drive is the Kasenyi sector, well-known for its lions that prey on Queen Elizabeth’s large population of Uganda Kob (antelope). Wildlife to look out for includes elephants, antelope and occasionally a hyena. Later, you will take a boat for a water safari on the Kazinga Channel.

Day 7: Depart For Bwindi Impenetrable forest–Home of the mountain gorilla!

Wake up for breakfast then drive to Bwindi impenetrable National park. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is a UNESCO Natural World Heritage site and one of the richest biological and botanical regions in the world. Bwindi’s mostrevered species are the approximately 400 wild Mountain Gorillas.

Day 8: Gorilla Tracking

Your gorilla trek will start after a briefing by the rangers. You will locate and interact (under supervision) with a gorilla family. The guides will interpret the apes’ behavior and advice on what you are watching. If time allows you will visit the Batwa.

Day 9: Depart for Entebbe

You will depart for Entebbe with an Equator stopover. Your Umoja Motherland tours guide will transfer you to your hotel for day room service then take you to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound flight.

Please note that check-in for international flights should be done two hours prior to flight departure. The departures area of the airport has a small restaurant, several duty free shops and a seating area.
